It's a 10-minute drive from Silverholme to the YHA in Hawkshead, which has glamping pods, tipis, private rooms, cabins and more.

FAQs
1 / What about visas?
We're happy to send over invitation letters, the wedding invite and supporting documents whenever you need them. Please write to us, and we'll send over the editable docs right away.
2 / How do I get to and back from my hotel/BnB to the venue?
We'll be working on hiring a minibus on Friday and Saturday to ferry folks back at specific times. Of course, designated drivers are welcome to drive, there's plenty of parking on the grounds. The cottages are a 10-minute walk, and the other hotel options are between a 10 and 15-minute drive.
3 / Can I bring my kids? Yes!
Yes! We have so many nieces and nephews and then some, your kids are welcome if you don't have a babysitter for the weekend. Please bring a travel cot for babies, and airbeds for the bigger ones, if you want to save on costs.
4 / How does the bar work?
One of the many reasons we picked this venue is because they don't charge corkage, so we'll be running a 'bar' of sorts. Once you RSVP, let us know your preferred drinks and we'll aim to have something for you behind 'the bar'. You are also welcome to BYOB for the weekend.
5 / What's the weather like in October?
It could get a little chilly in the evening, so if you want to take in the sights and sounds of the banks of Windemere, bring something to keep warm. The temperature ranges from lows of 6°C and highs of 14°C. The house will be warm, and we'll even get the fire on!
6 / I have questions, who can I reach out to?
We're happy to help with anything you need, just write to us at philshradha@gmail.com or Whatsapp Shradha @ +44-07575805784 or Phil @ +44-07426788022
